For this week’s post, I decided to do a country playlist. Country music always puts me in a good mood no matter how horrible I feel and I think we could all use a pick me up!
I didn’t start out liking country music. I hated it up until the 8th grade and then I found some really good songs and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. I will admit, it’s not the first thing I go to when I’m in the car needing some music, but it’s definitely up there. My favorite song in this playlist would have to be Miss Me More by Kelsea Ballerini. Most of these songs are about loving someone, but her song is about missing herself while in a toxic relationship and all the things she gets to do when she’s free; it’s a really empowering song showing that you shouldn’t have to give up your rights for a relationship.
I thought this picture of me riding a horse at my aunt’s house when I was little is pretty fitting for this playlist. My foot not being in the stirrup is probably my favorite part of the picture (and the tiny saddle).
My favorite time to listen to this playlist is during the summer. If I’m driving around with the windows down it just makes everyone happy and gives you a warm feeling! This playlist is by far the longest one I’ve made. There were just too many good songs to leave out and there’s still some I didn’t even add!
